Travel Tally Data Collector Job Description

Position: Travel Tally Data Collector (Bilingual Spanish or Cantonese is helpful, but not mandatory)

Duties: The data collectors will visit assigned SFUSD elementary schools and work in teams to conduct classroom surveys. In each classroom, the data collectors will count the students and fill in a travel tally tool. The purpose of the survey is to gather a tally of student’s travel modes (for example, how many students biked, walked, took the bus, drove, or rode in a carpool to get to and from school).

Schedule: Data collection will occur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays over 4-5 weeks beginning on August 30th and end by September 30th. The position will need a great deal of flexibility ranging from 7am – 3:30pm depending on the schools assigned. Availability of shifts will depend on how many schools need data collectors, school language needs, and data collector schedule. You will also need to be available for a two hour paid training that will be scheduled based on the availability of applicants.
